Questions
Frequently asked
- Do you alter garments bought elsewhere?
- Yes. Our tailor works on garments from any house — suits, sport coats, trousers, shirts and outerwear — whether or not they were purchased with us.
- What is the difference between made-to-measure and bespoke?
- Made-to-measure adjusts an existing house pattern to your measurements; bespoke drafts a pattern from scratch. Most clients are best served by made-to-measure. Our guide explains the trade-offs in detail.
- How many fittings will I need?
- Two to three fittings for a made-to-measure suit, typically over four to six weeks. Simple alterations usually need one.
- Do you offer custom shirting?
- Yes — hand-cut shirts in Sea Island, Swiss and Italian cottons, with your choice of collar, cuff, placket and monogram.
